"As a leader today you are quickly caught in your (filter) bubble - all seems shiny and full of potential. Challenging yourself, staying humble, and listening to people who are less advantaged than yourself is key to keep your feet on the ground and understand the real challenges - all while keeping the ability to think big."

Carina Lange is a researcher and project manager at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence.
She is exploring community-based approaches to digital transformation in both her roles as a PhD candidate at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) and as a project manager at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI). Carina has been involved in various policy and private sector development projects at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, the European Union, and the United Nations. With over five years of experience working in French-speaking West Africa, she is passionate about advocating for a redesign of the development system.
Carina completed her education in International and European Governance through a French-German program at Sciences Po Lille and the University of Münster, where she earned a master's degree, a French higher education degree, and a French-German double degree.
