Jacqueline Mukarukundo is the co-founder and CMO at Wastezon, a Rwandan cleantech startup, leveraging technology to create a waste-free world. To date, Wastezon has registered in its mobile application more than 2,000 users and recyclers. It collected 416 tons of e-waste equivalent to 2826.42 metric tons for the reduction of CO2 emissions. Jacqueline graduated in International Business and Trade from the African Leadership University. Her work earned recognition such as the SDG Summer School Award in Geneva, the Learning Planet Assembly Award in Paris, 2019, and Le Margaret award for African women in Tech, 2020.
She is a scholar of the Audi Environmental Foundation 2021, and the Ambassador of One Young World 2021.
Jaqueline is a speaker and mentor in different incubators like SIMcubator 2022/2023, and an alumnus of the Clinton Global Initiative University 2020 as well as ITU Generation Connect Regional Youth Envoy 2021; WIA 54 young African women entrepreneurs 2022 and speaker in ITU-D Study Group 2 in Geneva, 2022.
